Mike Lucas has been named senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for commercial lines at Encova Insurance, effective June 1, 2020. Lucas has experience with a large super-regional and a national carrier, and his background includes strong industry expertise, strategic planning, product development and execution of underwriting strategies.
“We’re excited for Mike to join us in this newly-created role,” Encova Executive Vice President, Commercial Lines and Life, Grady Campbell said. “His diverse experience and knowledge will enhance and sharpen our underwriting strategies to better support our agencies and policyholders.”
Lucas holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designations. In addition, he is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University. Lucas and his wife have started the process of relocating from Indiana to Columbus, Ohio.
