System mainframe removed from data center

Over the last 10 years, we worked tirelessly to migrate all business operations from diverse legacy systems to modern platforms. Due to the complexity of legacy data migration and the commitment required, many companies are not able to see such a transformation through to completion.

We’re proud to say that last week, the actual mainframe hardware that ran these legacy systems was physically removed from our New Albany Data Center, closing a chapter in our company’s history. We celebrated at the data center to acknowledge this rare achievement.

The group also celebrated the retirement of Team Lead, IT Hosting Services, Leonard Isaacs, who retired May 16 after 39 years with Encova. Leonard helped install this mainframe and several others before it, bringing his career full circle as he has witnessed the culmination of events that brought Encova to this moment.

Congratulations to our Information Technology team on this outstanding achievement, and we wish Leonard all the best in his retirement.
