Encova Insurance announces Ramu Lingala as executive vice president and chief information officer

Encova Insurance is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Ramu Lingala as the successor to Tony Laska, executive vice president and chief information officer, who last year announced his plans for retirement at the end of 2025. Lingala joined Encova in February to learn the operations and culture, and he has officially transitioned to this role effective May 1. Laska will now serve in an advisory role through year-end.

“I want to congratulate Tony on a successful career and thank him for his unmatched contributions to BrickStreet, Motorists and now Encova,” Encova President and CEO TJ Obrokta Jr. said. “I still remember recruiting him many years ago and the remarkable impact he had during the early years of BrickStreet.

“With that said, we are very excited to have Ramu join our senior leadership team as Tony’s successor,” Obrokta continued. “Under Ramu’s IT leadership, we will continue improving our systems and strengthening our capabilities as we strive to be the carrier of choice for our agents and policyholders.”

As chief information officer, Lingala will lead technology teams to ensure all systems run smoothly for Encova associates, customers and partners; collaborate with Encova business teams to enable enterprise strategy; and work closely with technology leaders and teams to validate roadmaps and delivery.

Lingala has 25 years of experience as an IT executive and most recently served as vice president of business lines technology for Liberty Mutual. He has directed large transformation programs and transformed IT operating models.
