Claims department gets restaurant back in business quickly

An agent recently shared a story with us of Motorists’ outstanding claims service that kept their commercial policyholder happy and in business.

Last month, an insured filed a claim for a small kitchen fire in their restaurant on a Monday morning before they opened for business. The Ohio-based insured reported the claim to their agent right away, who then submitted the claim to Motorists Insurance Group. Quickly, we had an adjuster on-site to make the process as quick and effortless as possible.

The fire was mostly contained to an oven, so repairs weren’t needed, but it needed the expertise of a cleaning service. The claims associate recommended a trustworthy cleaning company, and they began cleanup that same day.

Thanks to the quick, thorough work of the claims associate, the restaurant was able to reopen for dinner the following day. They were back in business just 36 hours after filing the claim, leaving even the health department astounded.
