Making online payments

Recently, new services have been popping up that allow users to pay all their bills in one place – from utilities to insurance. The catch is, these third-party services sometimes take longer to process the payment to the recipient, resulting in late fees.

We’ve received calls from policyholders asking why we started charging fees and why processing takes so much longer than it used to. What we’ve found is that many policyholders do not realize they are not paying through Motorists when using one of these sites.

To ensure online payments reach Motorists and no additional fees are charged, encourage your policyholders to visit motoristsinsurancegroup.com and click the Pay Bill option from the main menu. This will take them to BillMatrix, which is our vendor for taking payments. They can also call Customer Service at 800-876-8766 to make a payment over the phone.
