Drone pilot program offers enhanced claims experience

Encova property and casualty claims strives to innovate and improve claims processes, deliver an exceptional customer experience and achieve desired financial results. We continuously evaluate how we can incorporate technology to handle claims efficiently and effectively. As part of this effort, we are currently piloting the use of drone technology to inspect commercial and residential building structures.

“Drone technology is a great addition to the various tools and resources we use to evaluate the scope of damage and manage the claim process,” said Brian Warzinski, Encova property consultant.

Drone technology provides a safe solution to higher, less-accessible roof elevations. It also offers high-resolution photographs, detailed inspection reports and a comprehensive perspective of the overall risk we may not be able to obtain from the ground or with a traditional inspection.

“Utilizing a drone for inspections is an effective and safe way to inspect numerous buildings at one time,” said Thom Fenske, Encova senior property resolution specialist.

The pilot is scheduled through the end of August. We continue to look for ways to enhance our operations and look forward to improving our claims experience.
