Auto claims handling procedures

No matter how prepared you are, accidents do happen. We’re here to guide your policyholders through the claims process if they are in an accident. We are committed to excellent service and quality repairs for all our customers. We are also committed to using replacement parts that meet or exceed industry standards.

Our alternative parts policy ensures that current model year vehicles or any vehicle with less than 12,000 miles are repaired with new original equipment manufacturer (OEM) crash parts. Insured and claimant vehicles older than current model year or with more than 12,000 miles are repaired with alternative parts when available, including new OEM, recycled, remanufactured and certified aftermarket crash parts. *

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our customers. Encourage your policyholders to stay safe on the roads this winter with a driving safety kit.

*This policy applies for Motorists Mutual, Consumers Insurance, Iowa Mutual, Phenix Mutual and Wilson Mutual, except when state law applies. This policy does not apply to glass or other non-crash parts. Safety items such as air bags and seat belts are replaced with new OEM parts.
