No tricks – only treats – with this rider

Halloween should spook your policyholders – their life insurance policy shouldn’t. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 70 percent of American deaths are caused by chronic diseases. What is more alarming is that care costs continue to rise. Take time with your policyholders to discuss their life insurance needs and help them determine if Motorists Life’s chronic illness rider may be a wise addition to their policy.

About the chronic illness rider
Motorists Life’s chronic illness rider provides an advanced payment of a life insurance death benefit, should the insured be certified as chronically ill, which includes all who are permanently unable to perform at least two activities of daily living**, or require substantial supervision due to permanent and severe cognitive impairments.
**Activities include eating, toileting, transferring, bathing, dressing and continence, which require substantial assistance from another individual.

Financial freedom and other benefits
The chronic illness rider is not “use it or lose it.” As an attachment to their existing or a new life insurance policy, your policyholders will still keep the life insurance death benefit even if they do not end up needing advanced payments. In addition to this financial freedom, the rider has several other unique advantages:

  • Premium and cash value guaranteed
  • Waiver of premium included – Any time you receive benefit payments, the rider and base premiums will be waived at no additional cost to you.
  • Cash value maintained – Our chronic illness rider is attached to a non-par policy and will accrue cash value throughout the life of the policy. This gives the benefit of using the cash value for loans if necessary.

Help your policyholders take control of their care choices and scare-proof their life insurance today with our chronic illness rider.
